Our Fine Dining Room
The comfortably elegant dining room seats up to 50 guests in a classic ambiance and is open weekdays for lunch and nightly for dinner. Exposed brick, detailed woodwork and plenty of windows set the scene, enhanced by vintage lamps and candlelight. The room is delineated with leaded glass dividing walls rescued from the Capitol Theatre, circa 1930. The fine dining room is known for its fresh seafood, such as the house specialty Lobster Dublin Lawyer, as well as for steak, lamb and a local favourite roast duck with sour cherry anise glaze. White linen, impeccable service and an extensive wine list complete the experience.
Lunch served Monday to Friday 11am to 2pm
Dinner served daily from 5pm

Our Irish Pub
Next door in the upscale Irish pub, dark woodwork, exposed brick and comfortable seating create a smart casual atmosphere that can seat up to 70 people. The pub menu features fresh seafood as well as dressed-up pub classics such as a local Nova Scotia lamb burger served with blue cheese, tzatziki and caramelized onions. The great food is accompanied by local Maritime entertainment every night. Weekend brunch.
Open daily from 11am.

MICHI is the only restaurant in Regina that serves authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by veteran Japanese chefs. We have an extensive menu for lunch, dinner, and take-out. You can choose from a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki meat dishes, donburi, and noodle dishes. For a unique cultural experience and an expertly prepared meal, our friendly staff invites you to visit MICHI soon!History of Michi

MICHI was opened in December of 2003 by co-owners, Toshiji Shinmura and Michihiro Oishi. Shinmura immigrated to Canada from Japan in 1977 and took up residence in Regina. During the years that followed, a few restaurants professing to be Japanese were opened here, but the Japanese community found them to be lacking in authenticity and quality. Shinmura wanted to give the people of Regina a truly authentic Japanese restaurant with high-quality food and at reasonable prices. Meanwhile, his longtime friend in Japan, Mr. Oishi, was seeking an opportunity to invest in a foreign venture. He decided that a Japanese restaurant in the middle of the Canadian Prairies would be ideal, so he and Shinmura struck up a partnership, and MICHI was established. It has become the only restaurant in Regina that serves authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by veteran Japanese chefs.

Our five chefs are from Tokyo and Shizuoka, Japan. Shizuoka Prefecture is on the Pacific coast of Japan where many kinds of fish are available, making it an ideal location for our chefs’ years of training and work experience in traditional Japanese cooking skills.

We prepare our menu items using fresh and high quality ingredients. The seafood served at MICHI comes from Japan through a Japanese company in Vancouver. We also offer a wide selection of wines which have been carefully chosen to complement our cuisine. Our menu features signature combos, monthly lunch specials, and sushi party trays.

Our logo is designed from the Japanese letter “michi” in Mr. Oishi’s name, Michihiro. The meaning is “road” or “way”. The same letter can be pronounced “doe” as in judo (gentle way) and kendo (way of the sword). So you see, MICHI is the way to great sushi!
